Alexander (Alex) Ewers
Mr. Alex Ewers is an RLS Associate assigned as an on-site Grants Management Technician for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) at the ODOT Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Ewers is a strong communicator and collaborator whose strengths are in research and quantitative data analysis.
Mr. Ewers provides general grants management support to the ODOT Office of Transit, Rural Transit Section. His duties include, quarterly financial invoice reviews and analysis, grant application reviews, and technical assistance to rural transit systems. He has also provided assistance to the Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities program as well as assistance on the TIGER VII (Transit Tech Ohio) project. Other RLS projects Mr. Ewers has contributed to include driver performance evaluations for Greater Dayton RTA; the Nevada DOT 5311 Application Update; the Illinois DOT 5311 Application Update; and data compilation for the PennDOT regionalization study.
Mr. Ewers earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from The Ohio State University. He also completed the Ohio DOT’s Transit Management Academy training.
