This course provides drivers with the regulatory background of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VI of the Title VI, 42 U.S.C. § 2000d et seq., as enacted as part of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. Drivers will learn how the requirements impact their job. The course will cover the implications of the ADA on-demand response transportation service providers including human service agencies, coordinated transportation services, and public transit service providers, as well as the on-going requirements of providing complementary paratransit services. The Title VI segment of this training will focus on the prohibition of discrimination in service delivery and unintentional discrimination.
