This is a three-hour course. This course builds on the National RTAP START program and teaches transit drivers the importance of performing inspections to help ensure that their vehicles are road-worthy, understand how to safely operate their vehicle in a variety of conditions, and know how to safely load and unload both ambulatory and non-ambulatory passengers. The transit driver must also know what to do in an on-board emergency situation. The course is divided into three sections: Vehicle Safety, Driver Safety and Passenger Safety. Together these three elements provide the foundation for what operators need to know as a transit driver.
5310 grant registrants will be added to a waitlist and notified within 30 days of the training.
At least 4 registrants are required to hold the class.
If you require a reasonable accommodation or modification in order to attend this training, please contact the training coordinator at NHRTAP@rlsandassoc.com or 937-299-5007, at least two (2) business days prior to the training.
