Amy Rast
Associate
Ms. Amy Rast works out of the RLS Lyndonville, Vermont office, having joined RLS & Associates, Inc. after a successful career with the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans). Ms. Rast has over 30 years of transportation experience including more than 25 years’ experience in transportation policy, regional planning, land use and environmental regulation, and public transit. A former Public Transit Program Coordinator, Ms. Rast managed federal grants for rural and small urban public transit agencies, performing oversight and technical assistance duties, managed the Vermont State RTAP program, brought Vermont its first annual Transit Bus Roadeo, chaired the Tri-State Transit Conference committee and provided critical feedback during Act 250 project reviews to assure that public transit design components were included in project development. Ms. Rast brings expertise in project management, grant writing, and state and federal compliance.
Since joining RLS Ms. Rast has assisted with the coordination of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts RTAP programs. She has also been involved with compliance projects for MassDOT and has conducted on-site compliance reviews for Oregon and Illinois. Ms. Rast’s skill-set also provides RLS with quality assurance document review, including project proposals, compliance reports and Title VI Reports.
Ms. Rast is a graduate of Vermont Technical College, majoring in Architectural Engineering, and attended Norwich University and Lyndon State College to obtain an Environmental Science Degree.
