Macie Moore and Todd Barstow of ODOT’s Office of Transit along with Debbie Green and Julie Schafer from RLS & Associates, Inc. will be presenting information on financial management.

This 8-hour course will concentrate on certain areas within the general topic areas of financial management and financial management compliance, e.g., identifying costs, building a budget, cost allocation, contract rate setting, and pricing, etc. Participants with limited or no experience in these areas will benefit from these intensive and comprehensive break-out courses. The other topic areas including strategic planning, transportation reviews, transportation costs, the budget process, cost allocation, cash management, financial reporting, and performance evaluation are also covered. Because of the comprehensiveness of the material, the course is typically taught over several days but is being offered as a one-day overview. ODOT will offer additional intensive courses on topics such as cost allocation, fully allocated cost, and service planning upon identifying the need for such training.
