The Manager/Supervisor Passenger Assistance Techniques (PAT) course provides instruction, coaching, and feedback to prepare those who will deliver training.
Attendance on both days is required.
Many transportation funding sources, including INDOT and insurance providers, require passenger assistance training. This two-day course includes video, handouts, a hands-on practicum, and a certificate of completion designed to give the transit professional the information and knowledge to train drivers. Training includes both classroom instruction and “hands-on” practice to address ADA regulations and requirements, passenger sensitivity, lift operation, and wheelchair securement.
