CTAA’s Passenger Assistance, Safety, and Sensitivity (PASS) Train the Trainer, Sponsored by NCDOT-IMD, Greenville, Sept 28-29
Event Location:
Pitt Area Transit (PATS)
, Greenville
The emphasis in PASS Training is on the passenger and ensuring the safety and comfort of the passenger at every step of the boarding and deboarding process. While potential drivers at transit agencies must complete several training programs focusing on high-stakes situations, PASS trains drivers and trainers on safely securing passengers as its primary focus. Training on bloodborne pathogens and passenger evacuation is also included as an element of passenger safety – this is to provide drivers with a basic understanding of how to approach these safety issues should they be presented with an emergency situation on the vehicle.
