NCDOT-IMD’s Strategic Training Program is sponsoring an in-person Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS) Trainer Certification Program.
This two-day course includes video, handouts, a hands-on practicum, and a certificate of completion.
This course is designed to give the transit professional the information and knowledge to train drivers.
Training includes both classroom instruction and “hands-on” practice to address ADA regulations and requirements, passenger sensitivity, lift operation, and wheelchair securement.
As a certified PAT trainer, your program will be able to provide PAT training to your agency’s drivers, whether that be a refresher course or training for new drivers.
Special Notes:
The e-mail address used when registering for the course must be accessible while on-site at the training location to access the exam link. If attendee’s work e-mail can’t be accessed outside the organization, a personal email that can be accessed should be used.
Attendees should bring a laptop or mobile device such as a tablet or phone (not recommended) to access the registered email address and exam link. The exam is taken online and submitted electronically.
