The Passenger Assistance Techniques (PAT) In-House Instructor course provides instruction, coaching, and feedback to prepare those who will deliver in-house, PAT training until a new hire can attend a NHRTAP PAT training.

Passenger assistance training is required by many transportation funding sources, including NHDOT and insurance providers. This two-day course includes video, handouts, a hands-on practicum, and a certificate of completion designed to give the transit professional the information and knowledge to train drivers. Training includes both classroom instruction and “hands-on” practice to address ADA regulations and requirements, passenger sensitivity, lift operation, and wheelchair securement.
