The PAT Instructor course provides instruction, coaching and feedback to prepare those who will deliver training. (This training was previously referred to as “Train the Trainer”)

Passenger Assistance Training (PAT) is required by many transportation funding sources including ODOT and insurance providers. This two-day course includes video, handouts, a hands-on practicum, and a certificate of completion and is designed to give the transit professional the information and knowledge to train drivers. Training includes both classroom instruction and “hands-on” practice to address ADA regulations and requirements, passenger sensitivity, lift operation, and wheelchair securement. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an instructor packet.
