Michelle Perales

Michelle C. Perales works out of the Texas office (located in San Antonio, TX). She brings with her eight years of experience working in the Texas public transportation industry, in a variety of capacities. Michelle has served as a Community Outreach Coordinator, Community Planner, and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Public Information Officer for VIA Metropolitan Transit, a public provider of regional multimodal transportation options.

Michelle also has experience in higher education administration, having served as Director of Community Partnerships and Deputy to the Chancellor for the Alamo Colleges District, in San Antonio, Texas. In her capacity as Deputy, Michelle oversaw administrative and strategic projects and initiatives in support of the Chancellor and assisted the Chancellor in the resolution of complex administrative issues. She also worked closely with the Board of Trustees to support governance and operational functions of the district, and to ensure district compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Michelle also has served as a Truancy Diversion Judge for the Family Court of Clark County, Nevada.

Michelle received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She also holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies from Cornell University.

Michelle is a certified Change Management Practitioner, through Prosci. She is a certified facilitator of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, through Franklin Covey, and certified in the Four Disciplines of Execution (4DX), also through Franklin Covey. Additionally, Michelle is a certified Mediator in Texas, from St. Mary’s University.
