This is a two (2) day training intended for in-house, driver trainers.
Passenger assistance training is required by many transportation funding sources, including WisDOT and insurance providers.
This two-day course includes video, handouts, a hands-on practicum, and a certificate of completion.
This course is designed to give the transit professional the information and knowledge to train drivers.
Training includes both classroom instruction and “hands-on” practice to address ADA regulations and requirements, passenger sensitivity, lift operation, and wheelchair securement.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an instructor packet via mail.
As a certified PAT trainer, your program will be able to provide PAT training to your agency’s drivers, whether that be a refresher course or training for new drivers.
If you require a reasonable accommodation or modification in order to attend this training, please contact the training coordinator at dtennant@rlsandassoc.com or 937-299-5007, at least two (2) business days prior to the training.
Lunch is not provided. You can bring lunch or restaurants are available near by.
